Winter Storm Grayson kicked the east coast’s arse last weekend. The participants of my Winter Acrylic Still Life class braved the ice and snow last Saturday to make some beautiful paintings.

I set up a still life with velvet pumpkins, an ornamental miniature bird cage, magnolia pods, a handmade faerie crown, and some plants from Tulpehocken Exchange’s “green wall.” I taught the class about underpainting. There were some beautiful results! Look at the slideshow below for some photos taken during the class.
And here is my completed still life I started during the class.
My next class at Tulpehocken Exchange will be Pastel Portraiture for Beginners on January 20th. Email info@handmadephilly.com for more information.
